Knife-Making Foodie with a Great Curiosity About the World  

There is something about a knife that you grow to love and use every day. Better still if it has an interesting story of its own. And even better if it was made by hand.

I make knives that have provenance and beauty, but which are also pragmatic every-day tools for those of us who love to cook. I use the knives I make and I love them, I hope will too.

As this is the “about” section of my site, I shall attempt to fill-in some blanks. Originally from the UK, I have lived in many places, partly when I was growing up and partly since I finished my studies many years ago. I love to be in sunny beautiful places, but not at the expense of real food wonderfully prepared, stimulating conversations and soul-filling experiences. I feel a Venn Diagram coming on …

I like to cook and always use my own knives, I take great pleasure from re-telling stories - especially stories garnered while on my travels, I paint and draw at a professional level and have experienced commercial success with things I have designed, prototyped and made.
